Ring sizer
30-second setup: match a card, then measure
Accurate for this screen
Hold the card flat against the screen, one corner on the outline's top-left corner, and press + or − until the outline matches the card's edges exactly.
For a laptop or monitor whose size you know. Enter the diagonal as sold — 13.3, 15.6, 24, 27. A card is more accurate, because the advertised size is rounded.
Kept on this device only
Lay the ring flat on the circle. Press + or − until the circle just fills the inside of the ring.

Indian ring size chart — with US, UK and EU conversion
Every Indian ring size with its diameter in millimetres and the US, UK, EU and Japanese size beside it. Measure a ring on the circle, or pick a size you know and convert it.
The short answer
An Indian ring size is the ring's inner circumference in millimetres minus 40. Indian size 12 has a 52 mm circumference and a 16.5 mm inner diameter, and equals US 6, UK L½ and EU 52. Indian size 14 is 17.2 mm across, about US 6¾. The most common women's sizes in India are 10 to 14 and men's 16 to 22. To convert an Indian size to a US size, find the diameter first — US sizes rise by 0.81 mm of diameter per size from 11.63 mm.
Four steps to the right size
Step 1: Know your size already?
Choose India in the converter, pick your size, and read the US, UK, EU and Japanese size beside it.
Step 2: Have a ring that fits?
Calibrate with a bank card, lay the ring on the circle and match the circle to the inside edge.
Step 3: Have neither?
Print the ring sizer, check the 100 mm bar with a ruler, and wrap the strip round the finger.
Step 4: Ordering from abroad
Give the seller the inner diameter in mm as well as the converted size. It removes any doubt about which chart they use.

Indian size = inner circumference in mm − 40. US diameter = 11.63 mm + 0.8128 mm × size. Jewellers' own charts differ by up to a size, so when ordering, give the diameter in mm as well.
What changes a ring size
One Indian size is a third of a millimetre
Each size adds 1 mm to the circumference and 0.32 mm to the diameter. That is why measuring with an ordinary ruler is not fine enough, and a calibrated circle or a sizing strip is.
US sizes are bigger steps
A full US size is 0.81 mm of diameter — about two and a half Indian sizes. So two Indian sizes can share the same US quarter size, and the conversion is never exact.
Charts disagree, millimetres do not
Indian jewellers' printed charts vary from each other by up to a size. If a store lists diameters, trust the diameter over the size number.
Wide bands need more room
For a band 6 mm or wider, go up one Indian size. A wide band covers more of the finger and sits tighter at the same diameter.
One number, kept on your device
The calibration is a single figure — pixels per millimetre for this screen — stored in your own browser. Nothing you measure is sent anywhere, and there is no account. The margin of error is shown beside every result, because a tool that hides it is guessing on your behalf.
- No upload, no account, no email
- Calibrate once for every measuring tool here
- Margin of error shown for your own screen
- Warns you when browser zoom would make it wrong
- No ads beside the ruler or the sizing circles
Questions people ask
Anything we've missed?
What is Indian ring size 12 in US size?
Indian size 12 is about US 6. It has an inner circumference of 52 mm and an inner diameter of 16.5 mm, which is also UK L½, EU 52 and Japanese size 12.
What is US size 7 in Indian size?
US 7 is 17.3 mm across with a 54.4 mm circumference, which is Indian size 14 — strictly 14.4, so choose 15 for a wide band or if you are between sizes.
What is the average ring size in India?
Most women's rings sold in India are sizes 10 to 14 and most men's 16 to 22. It is a guide to what is common, not a way to guess a size — measure a ring or the finger.
How do I measure my ring size at home in India?
Three ways, best first: lay a ring that fits on the on-screen circle here after calibrating with a bank card; print the paper ring sizer and wrap it round the finger; or wrap a thin strip of paper round the finger, mark where it meets, measure the length in mm and subtract 40.
Are Indian and UK ring sizes the same?
No. UK sizes are letters: Indian 12 is UK L½ and Indian 14 is UK N. Each UK letter is 1.25 mm of circumference, a little more than one Indian size.
Why do I have to calibrate first?
Because a browser does not know how big your screen is. Web pages assume 96 pixels to the inch, and almost no real screen matches that, so an uncalibrated on-screen ruler can be out by 30% or more. Matching an outline to a bank card once tells the page how many pixels make a millimetre on your screen.
Do I have to calibrate every time?
No. The calibration is kept on this device, in this browser, and every measuring tool on Spolvero uses it. You are asked again only if the browser zoom changes, because zoom changes the size of everything on the page.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The calibration is one number stored in your own browser. Nothing you measure is sent anywhere, and the tools work with the connection switched off once the page has loaded.
