What this chart shows क्या
Sun in Taurus, 10th house (career and public standing). Where the Sun sits is where the chart expects to be seen; the Taurus Sun reads through Taurus's manner.
Moon in Capricorn, 6th house (work, routine and health). The Moon is the inner weather — what feels like home and how the day is felt.
Leo rising. The rising sign is the face the chart meets the world with, and it sets the twelve houses: Mercury in the 10th (career and public standing), Venus in the 9th (belief, study and travel), Mars in the 8th (shared resources and change), Jupiter in the 12th (rest, retreat and the unconscious), Saturn in the 6th (work, routine and health).
Tightest aspects: Jupiter opposition Uranus (0.3°); Sun trine Moon (0.6°); Sun trine Saturn (1.1°). A conjunction fuses two planets' matters, a trine eases them, a square puts them in tension, an opposition makes them take turns.
When it applies कब
Transits now: Saturn in the 9th house (belief, study and travel) — brings weight, delay, and the requirement to actually earn it. Jupiter in the 1st (self and body) — brings room, permission and the sense that it will be all right.
Saturn returns to its natal place (25° Capricorn) about every 29½ years: next around Apr 2049, at age 59. Jupiter returns every 12 years, so its next return is around age 48.
Transits are read against the natal houses; the Moon's daily transit is on the horoscope pages.
What to do क्या करें
Western astrology has no fixed remedy tradition; the Vedic one strengthens a planet only when it is weak or afflicted, and leaves a strong one alone. Checked in the sidereal chart for the rulers of your big three:
Sun — ruler of your rising sign (chart ruler) · Sunday
Neither weak nor strong — in Vrishabha, neither exalted nor debilitated. No remedy is called for; if you want a practice for its day: Offer water to the rising Surya and chant the Aditya Hridayam on Sundays.
Venus — ruler of your Sun sign · Friday
Strong — no remedy. Venus is exalted in Meena, in the 9th bhava, a kendra or trikona. The texts give no upay for a strong graha; the practice is to let it work.
Saturn — ruler of your Moon sign · Saturday
Strong — no remedy. Saturn is in its own sign, Makara, in the 7th bhava, a kendra or trikona. The texts give no upay for a strong graha; the practice is to let it work.
Readings follow Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra and Saravali (B. Suryanarain Rao's translations) and describe what the tradition reads — they promise nothing. Upay are the traditional practices the Jyotish app lists: free, at home, nothing to buy — and given only for a weak or afflicted graha, never a strong one. Not medical, financial or legal advice.

Birth chart calculator — your Sun, Moon and rising sign, with the wheel
Your big three and the whole wheel, from real planetary positions. Enter the birth moment and place; the chart is drawn here, with each planet's sign, degree and house and the major aspects between them.
The short answer
A birth chart is the sky at the moment you were born, seen from the place you were born. To calculate it, the tool converts your local birth time to UTC using the place's time zone, computes the ecliptic longitude of the Sun, Moon and eight planets, finds the ascendant (rising sign) and midheaven from the place's latitude and longitude, and assigns each planet to a sign by its longitude and to a house counted from the rising sign. Your Sun sign is where the Sun was, your Moon sign where the Moon was, and your rising sign the one on the eastern horizon — the three the chart is read from first. Aspects are the angles between planets within a conventional orb.
Four steps to your chart
Step 1: Enter the birth date and time
Local clock time at the birth place. If the time is unknown, tick the box: the planets and their signs are still right, and the tool leaves out what needs the time.
Step 2: Choose the place
Pick a city or enter coordinates. The place fixes the time zone and the horizon the rising sign is measured from.
Step 3: Read the big three
Sun, Moon and rising sign lead the result, each with its exact degree. The wheel below puts every planet in its sign, with the ascendant on the left.
Step 4: Go through the table
Each planet's sign, degree, house and motion, then the major aspects with their orb. Underneath, the same Sun and Moon in the sidereal zodiac, so you can see the Vedic difference.
Worth knowing before you read it
The rising sign needs the time
The ascendant moves through all twelve signs in a day — about two hours each — so it is the part of the chart most sensitive to the birth time. If yours is within a degree or two of a sign boundary, the tool says so.
Houses here are whole-sign
Each house is one whole sign counted from the rising sign, the oldest system and the one that needs no table. Placidus and Koch, which many Western sites default to, divide the houses unevenly, so a planet near a boundary can land one house away.
Cusp is not a thing
The Sun is in one sign or the other; there is no in-between. If your birthday is on a boundary date, the exact time and year decide it, which is why the tool asks for both rather than using a date table.
Two zodiacs, one sky
Western astrology measures from the March equinox, Vedic from the stars, and the two differ by about 24°. The last panel shows your Sun and Moon in both, so 'I'm a Leo but the pandit says Cancer' stops being a mystery.

Positions come from published astronomy (Meeus and the JPL orbital elements), the ayanamsa is Lahiri, the houses whole-sign, and the same code runs in the Jyotish app. Your birth details and location are used by your own browser and never sent, and no language model reads or writes your chart. Switch the page to another language and only its fixed text goes to our translation service; your result stays in English, in your browser.

Questions people ask
Anything we've missed?
What are the Sun, Moon and rising signs?
The Sun sign is the zodiac sign the Sun occupied when you were born — the one newspaper horoscopes use. The Moon sign is where the Moon was, which changes every two and a half days. The rising sign, or ascendant, is the sign coming up over the eastern horizon at your birth place and minute. Astrologers read all three together; the Sun alone is a twelfth of the picture.
Do I need my exact birth time?
For the rising sign and the houses, yes — an hour's error can change the rising sign. For the Sun, the planets and usually the Moon, a date and a rough time are enough. Tick 'time unknown' and the tool shows what still holds and leaves out what does not.
Which house system does the calculator use?
Whole-sign houses: the rising sign is the first house, the next sign the second, and so on. It is the system of Hellenistic astrology and of Vedic practice, and the only one that needs no table of house cusps. Software defaulting to Placidus may place a planet near a boundary in a different house.
Why is my Vedic sign different?
Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, fixed to the stars, while Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac, fixed to the equinox. Precession has pulled them about 24° apart, so most people's Sun is one sign earlier in the Vedic reckoning. Both are correct in their own system; the chart shows the two together.
What are the three boxes under the result?
Every reading here answers the same three questions the tradition answers: what the placement shows (क्या), when it applies (कब) — the dasha, the transit, the window of the day — and what to do about it (क्या करें). The words are the app's own, from Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra and Saravali, and they describe rather than promise.
What are the upay (remedies) shown, and do they cost anything?
Under every result, 'What to do' checks the grahas that matter most in it — exalted or debilitated, own sign, combust, the house it sits in — and gives the classical practice only for a graha that is weak or afflicted: a mantra, its weekday, a fast or a charity, with the Lal Kitab everyday version, word for word from the Jyotish app's graha guide. A strong graha is named as strong and left alone, because the tradition gives no remedy for it. All practices are free and done at home. Nothing is sold, no gemstone or puja is recommended, and none of it is medical, financial or legal advice.
Is my birth data sent anywhere?
No. The date, time and place you enter are used by your own browser to compute the chart — load the page, switch off Wi-Fi, and it still works. If you switch the page to another language, only the page's fixed text is sent to our translation service; your chart, your birth details and the chat stay in English and are never sent. The details are kept in this browser so the page remembers them next time; clear them with the Reset button.
How accurate are the positions?
The Sun is computed from the Meeus low-precision series (about 0.01°), the Moon from the 27 largest terms of the ELP series (a few arcminutes), and the planets from the JPL Keplerian elements published for 1800–2050 (about an arcminute). All of that is far tighter than a birth time rounded to the nearest five minutes, which moves the ascendant by more than a degree. Rahu is the mean node. The ayanamsa is Lahiri, modelled linearly from its J2000 value, accurate to about 0.01° in the current era.
Does this give the same result as the Jyotish app?
Yes. The website's engine is a line-for-line port of the app's, and the build fails if the two disagree on any of five reference charts to a millionth of a degree. The app adds what a page cannot: questions in your own words in eight languages, Kundli Milan, Lal Kitab and numerology.

Why your Vedic sign is different from your Western sign: the 24° ayanamsa
Western astrology starts the zodiac at the March equinox; Vedic fixes it to the stars. They differ by about 24°, so most Vedic Sun signs are one sign earlier.
