Space, Enter or → adds a row · ← or Backspace takes one away
Following a chart?
The tracker reads each row to you in words and remembers your place.
Row counter — count rows online, and never lose your place
Tap to count rows, with a second counter for pattern repeats. It keeps your count on this device, so it is still there tomorrow evening — and for a chart, the tracker reads each row to you.
The short answer
To count rows online, tap the big plus button after each row (or press the space bar), and minus to undo. Set a repeat length — say 4 — and the repeat counter shows which row of the repeat you are on. The count is saved on this device automatically, so you can close the tab and pick up where you stopped.
Your patterns on this device
No patterns here yet. Make a chart and choose Start stitching, open a pattern file, or open a link someone sent you. Patterns stay in this browser on this device.
A counter that reads your chart
For a colour chart, a number isn't enough — you also need to know what comes next. The tracker keeps both.
The row in words
"Row 23: 4 blue, 2 white, 7 blue", in big type, with the direction to read it — including the diagonals of a C2C blanket.
One tap per colour block
Tap anywhere when you finish a block, or use a Bluetooth page turner. It tells you how many before the next colour change.
A close-up of the chart
The block you're on is outlined, what you've done is dimmed, and each square carries its letter.
Built for the sofa
Dark mode for evenings, the screen kept awake, time stitched, and your place saved after every tap — for weeks.
Questions crafters ask
Anything we've missed?
Does it remember my count if I close the page?
Yes. The count is saved on this device every time it changes, and is there when you come back. It isn't sent anywhere, so it won't follow you to another device — for that, use the pattern tracker's Send to my phone.
Can I use a Bluetooth page turner or keyboard?
Yes. Space, Enter, the right arrow and Page Down add a row; Backspace, the left arrow and Page Up take one away. Most Bluetooth page-turner pedals send Page Down or an arrow key, so they work without setup.
Will my screen stay on?
In browsers that support it (Chrome, Edge, and Safari on iOS 16.4 and later), the counter and the tracker keep the screen awake while they are open. Elsewhere, set your screen timeout longer while you stitch.
What does the tracker do that a counter doesn't?
It reads your chart for you. Instead of a number, it shows the row in words — "4 blue, 2 white, 7 blue" — with a close-up of the chart, moves on one colour block per tap, tells you when the next colour change comes, and keeps time stitched. Make a chart with the chart maker, or open a pattern file.
Is it free?
Yes, with no account. There are ads on this page below the counter, but the tracker itself never shows ads.
