Unspend: Subscription Tracker · Effective 31 August 2026
Unspend helps you keep track of the subscriptions you and your family pay for. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what control you have over it.
What we collect
Your email address, if you sign in. Used only to sign you in and to send you a one-time code. Signing in is optional — the whole app works without it. We do not send you marketing email.
Ad requests, if you use the free version. The free version of Unspend shows ads served by Google AdMob. Every request is marked non-personalised, so Google is asked for an ad without being asked to profile you for it. Google still receives your IP address — from which an approximate location can be derived; the app never asks for location permission and reads no GPS — and information about how you interacted with the ad. See ADVERTISING below.
What you type into the app. The subscriptions you add: names, plans, amounts, billing dates, free-trial dates, categories and notes. The people you add to your household: their name, the avatar you choose for them, and any note you write. The payment methods you name: a nickname such as “HDFC Visa” and a short reminder such as the last four digits. All of it is stored on your phone.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for or store your bank details, full card numbers, security codes, or banking logins. Unspend is not connected to any bank or payment provider and cannot move money. The reminder you type against a payment method is capped at four characters where it stands for digits, so a full card number does not fit.
We do not run analytics or session recording. We do not collect crash reports. We do not track your location, and the app never asks for location permission.
We do not use your advertising ID: the app does not declare the permission that would give it one, and every ad request is non-personalised.
Your subscription data is never used for advertising. What you type into Unspend — what you subscribe to, what it costs, who you split it with — is not sent to Google, to an advertiser, or to us. It stays on your phone. Google is told that an ad slot exists in this app; it is never told what is in your list. We do not sell your data.
Advertising
The free version of Unspend shows occasional full-screen ads, and offers ads you can choose to watch in exchange for something. Unspend Pro removes all of them.
Who serves them. Google AdMob. What Google collects and how it uses it is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://business.safety.google/privacy/.
They are never personalised. Every ad request this app makes is marked non-personalised, everywhere and for everybody — not as a regional obligation and not as a setting you have to find. Google is asked for an ad; it is not asked to build or use a profile of you to choose one. The app does not declare the Android advertising ID permission, so it does not use your advertising ID to do this.
Your subscriptions are never involved. What you track in Unspend is not sent to Google, to an advertiser, or to us. Google is told that an ad slot exists in this app; it is never told what is in your list.
Changing your choices. Where consent was gathered under a law that requires an ongoing way to change it — the EEA, the UK, Switzerland — Settings shows an “Ad & privacy choices” row that reopens the form.
How to remove ads. Buy Unspend Pro, or watch a rewarded ad for a two-hour ad-free window. Nothing is taken away if you decline either.
Paying for Pro
Purchases are handled by Google Play, with RevenueCat managing the receipt on our behalf. We never see or store your card details — Google takes the payment and tells us only that an entitlement is active. RevenueCat receives a purchase record and an anonymous identifier for your installation; its privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy. Restoring a purchase asks Google what your account owns.
Where your data lives
On your phone. Your subscriptions, the people in your household, your payment method nicknames and your settings are stored on your device, in storage that belongs to Unspend alone — other apps cannot read it. Your account details are held in the operating system’s own secure storage, the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore. None of it is uploaded to us.
Sign-in is handled by Supabase, which stores your email address and authentication records on its servers. Supabase’s privacy policy is at supabase.com/privacy.
Backups you make yourself. You can export a backup file from Settings. That file contains everything the app has stored. The app hands it to your phone’s share sheet and never learns where it goes — where you send it, and who can then read it, is your choice.
How long we keep it
What is on your phone stays there until you remove it. Delete the app and your subscription list goes with it.
Your email address and authentication records are kept while your account is open, and removed within 30 days of you deleting your account.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app. You can also email spolvero.design@gmail.com from the address on your account and ask us to do it. We will confirm once it is done.
Children
Unspend is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Security
Your account details are held in the operating system’s own secure storage. The rest — your subscriptions, household and settings — is kept in Unspend’s own private storage on the device, which other apps cannot read. What passes between the app and Supabase when you sign in is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we will respond.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
