Enough: Drink Water Reminder
Water tracker for Android
The only water app that asks for less.
A daily drinking target you can trace to its source, reminders that fit your waking hours, and a history that tells you the truth.
What Enough does
A daily drinking target you can trace to its source, reminders that fit your waking hours, and a history that tells you the truth.
A number with a source
Your target is worked out from published standards (EFSA, US IOM and ICMR-NIN) and every step is shown on screen.
Food counts
EFSA and the US IOM publish total water, and part of it you eat rather than drink: about a quarter by EFSA, a fifth by the IOM. Enough takes that share off. ICMR-NIN already counts drinks only, and nothing comes off it. Either way the arithmetic is on screen.
Reminders that fit your day
Reminders arrive only inside your waking hours, and Enough watches whether your phone is quietly blocking them.
A history that tells the truth
See which days you met your goal, fell short, or logged late, week by week.
A closer look
Enough is a number, not a nag
Other water apps push you to drink more. Enough is built around an upper bound you can check.
- Every number shows its source
- Your hydration data never reaches the ad system
- Location is only used if you turn on the weather forecast
- Not a medical device, and it says so
When people reach for Enough
Someone who forgets to drink
You reach the afternoon having had one coffee and nothing else.
People in hot climates or hard training
Days when the usual amount is clearly not enough and you want to see the gap.
Anyone tired of nagging apps
Reminders that respect your hours, rather than buzzing through a meeting or at midnight.
People who dislike accounts
A water tracker has no business knowing who you are.

How this differs from most water trackers
| Most apps | Enough |
|---|---|
| Sign in before you can log a glass | Open it and tap — no account |
| One fixed target for everyone | A target from a published standard, with the working shown, and yours to change |
| Always pushes you to drink more | Shows a ceiling as well as a target, and says plainly it is a rule of thumb |
| Counts coffee and tea as less than water | Counts them in full, as a 2016 trial supports |
| Reminders every hour regardless | Reminders in the hours you choose, quiet the rest of the time |
| Streaks designed to make you feel bad | A record you can read without being scolded |
| Syncs your intake to a server | Stays on your phone |
Useful within a minute
Step 1: Get your target
Choose a standard (EFSA, US IOM or ICMR-NIN) and enter your sex and weight. Enough shows the arithmetic, and you can set your own figure instead.
Step 2: Set your four vessels
Assign each home-screen button to what you actually drink, such as a 500 ml bottle or a 200 ml coffee, so logging is one tap.
Step 3: Choose your hours
Tell it when you are awake and it will only remind you then.
And it also does
- Custom cup and bottle sizes
- Coffee and tea count in full, milk counts more
- A week-by-week history
- Writes what you drink to Health Connect
- Reminder hours you control
- No account, no sync, no analytics
- Works offline

Questions
Can't find the answer you're looking for?
Why is my target lower than other apps?
The EFSA and US IOM figures count water from all sources, including food, so Enough subtracts the share that comes from food and what's left is what you actually need to drink. ICMR-NIN is published as drinks only, so that one is used as it stands.
Which standard does it use?
You can choose EFSA (2010), US IOM, or ICMR-NIN. India defaults to ICMR-NIN.
Is it medical advice?
No. Enough is not a medical device. Talk to a doctor about your own needs.
Does coffee or tea count?
Yes, in full. A 2016 trial (Maughan and colleagues) found coffee, tea, juice and soft drinks hydrate no differently from water, so Enough counts them the same. Milk retained more, so it counts one and a half times.
Can I drink too much?
Enough shows a ceiling at 1.6 times your drinking target. It is labelled as a conservative rule of thumb, not a published limit. Nothing is blocked when you pass it; you are told, not stopped.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-in and no server. Your record stays on your phone, and uninstalling the app deletes it.

Does coffee count as water intake? What the hydration trial found
A 2016 trial found coffee, tea, juice and soft drinks hydrate no differently from water. What it measured, what it left out, and how to count your cups.

How much water should I drink a day? What EFSA, the IOM and ICMR-NIN actually say
Published figures are for total water, food included. Take off the share you eat and most adults need 1.5 to 3 litres of drinks a day, not eight glasses.
