Apna ghar kab banega? Home, property and vehicle in Jyotish
- Astro:
What do you want to know? Pick a question or type your own — Hindi, Hinglish or English. I read it from your kundli, here in your browser.
For a fuller answer, continue in the Jyotish app.
It asks you a question or two back like an astrologer would, reads the navamsa and your tradition too, answers in Hindi, Hinglish or English, and shows the placement and rule behind every sentence. Your chart stays on your phone.
A home of one's own and a car of one's own are 4th-house matters, with Venus and Mars as their karakas. How the tradition reads them, what vastu is and is not, and the questions people ask.
Tell the chat above your birth date, time and place, and your question is read from the houses, grahas and dasha the tradition uses for it — free, computed in your browser, and never sent anywhere.
Which houses, which grahas
The 4th bhava is home, land and vehicles; its lord and the grahas in it are read first. Mars is the karaka of land and property, Venus of vehicles and comfort, the Moon of the home as a place of rest.
A property comes in the dasha of the 4th lord, of Mars or of a graha in the 4th, with Jupiter or Saturn transiting the 4th or the lagna; a vehicle in the dasha of the 4th lord or Venus with Venus or Jupiter transiting the 4th.
Vastu is the science of orientation and layout, separate from the chart; the chart says when and whether, vastu says how the place is arranged. A vastu question is best asked with a plan in hand.
What the chart can say
Every question here is one of a few kinds. The tradition has a way of reading each kind; this is it, in the words the app uses.
When will it happen?
Timing in Jyotish comes from three clocks read together: the Vimshottari dasha (which graha's period is running and which sub-period), the transits of Jupiter and Saturn over the bhava concerned, and the year's activation of that bhava. A period is named when all three point the same way; the tradition names a window, never a date. For a home, the dasha of the 4th lord or Mars with Jupiter or Saturn transiting the 4th; for a vehicle, the dasha of the 4th lord or Venus.
Will it happen?
A yes-or-no question is read as a matter of strength, not fate: how strong the bhava is, where its lord sits, which grahas aspect it, and whether the navamsa agrees. The texts describe what a strong or afflicted house tends to give; they do not decree. A vehicle yoga is read from a strong 4th and Venus; a home of one's own from a strong 4th lord and Mars.
Why is it not happening?
A property deal that keeps failing is read from Saturn or Rahu on the 4th, a weak 4th lord, or a dasha unconnected to the 4th — a period.
How will it go?
Whether a purchase goes well is described from the 4th house's condition and the running dasha; the reading describes, it does not underwrite.

Want to ask back, the way you would an astrologer?
The Jyotish app answers in your words — Hindi, Hinglish or English — from the chart on your phone, asks a question back when it needs to, and shows the placement and the rule under every sentence. Health, money and legal questions are declined, not guessed.
The upay the tradition gives
A remedy is aimed at a graha, and only at a weak or afflicted one — a strong graha needs none. These are the grahas most often behind this topic, with the free practices the Jyotish app lists; the kundli tool checks whether yours are weak before it suggests any.
Mars · Tuesday
karaka of land and property
Vedic: Recite the Hanuman Chalisa on Tuesdays.
Lal Kitab: Offer sweet batashe in flowing water, and keep good ties with brothers.
Venus · Friday
karaka of vehicles and comfort
Vedic: Worship Lakshmi on Fridays and give white sweets in charity.
Lal Kitab: Respect your spouse, and feed a cow before you eat.
Free practices, done at home, for a graha that is weak in your chart; nothing is sold and no gemstone or puja is recommended. Not medical, financial or legal advice.
