A dosha is a placement the texts flag, not a sentence. Mangal dosh is Mars in six houses; Kaal Sarp is every graha between Rahu and Ketu; Pitra dosh is the Sun or the 9th afflicted. Each has cancellations, each has a remedy, and none is dramatised here.

Tell the chat above your birth date, time and place, and your question is read from the houses, grahas and dasha the tradition uses for it — free, computed in your browser, and never sent anywhere.

How Jyotish reads it

Which houses, which grahas

  1. Mangal (Manglik) dosh: Mars in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th from the lagna, and by some schools from the Moon and Venus. Cancelled when Mars is in its own or exalted sign, aspected by Jupiter, or matched with another Manglik chart, among other rules.

  2. Kaal Sarp yoga: all seven grahas on one side of the Rahu–Ketu axis. It is not in the classical texts and modern practitioners disagree about it; the app computes it, names it, and does not sell fear about it.

  3. Pitra dosh: the Sun or the 9th house and its lord afflicted by Saturn, Rahu or Ketu, read as unresolved matters of lineage. Shani dosh is usually Sade Sati or Saturn's dasha, which every chart passes through.

  4. Every dosha is read with its strength, its cancellations and its period, and a remedy is the upay of the graha involved.

The answers

What the chart can say

Every question here is one of a few kinds. The tradition has a way of reading each kind; this is it, in the words the app uses.

Will it happen?

Whether you have a dosha is arithmetic on the chart — the kundli tool shows Mars's house, the Rahu–Ketu axis and the Sun's condition — but whether it applies depends on the cancellations, which the app reads. Most Manglik doshas are cancelled or matched.

When will it happen?

When a dosha's effect eases is read from the dasha of the graha involved and its transits; a dosha is felt in its period, not always.

Why is it not happening?

What a dosha causes is described from the houses involved, in the texts' terms — delay in marriage for Mangal, obstacles in the period for Kaal Sarp — never as a fixed fate.

What upay should I do?

The remedy is the upay of the graha involved: Mars's for Mangal dosh, Rahu's and Ketu's for Kaal Sarp, the Sun's for Pitra dosh. All are free practices; no puja is sold here.

Want to ask back, the way you would an astrologer?

The Jyotish app answers in your words — Hindi, Hinglish or English — from the chart on your phone, asks a question back when it needs to, and shows the placement and the rule under every sentence. Health, money and legal questions are declined, not guessed.

What to do

The upay the tradition gives

A remedy is aimed at a graha, and only at a weak or afflicted one — a strong graha needs none. These are the grahas most often behind this topic, with the free practices the Jyotish app lists; the kundli tool checks whether yours are weak before it suggests any.
