What today shows क्या
Ninth from your sign: fortune and teachers. The Moon is in the ninth from your rashi, the house of fortune, faith, teachers and long journeys. Neutral by the table but warm in tone: a day for advice, temples, elders and plans that reach further than this week.
The Moon is in Mula. The bunch of tied roots, and Nirriti, who governs dissolution. Read as getting to the root — investigation, a refusal of surface answers, and a willingness to pull a thing up entirely to see what it was growing from. Unsentimental about what that costs.
Shukla Shashthi is a tithi of joy: suited to celebration, music, and anything meant to be enjoyed.
When कब
This placement lasts until 18 Oct, 19:33, when the Moon enters Makara — your 10th house.
Next favourable Moon: from 18 Oct, 19:34, in your 10th house.
Today's nakshatra ends at 17 Oct, 09:47; the tithi at 17 Oct, 05:56.
What to do क्या करें
A middling Moon: routine work suits it. Venus rules Friday, and its observance is the day's practice — not a remedy. A remedy is given only for a graha that is weak in your own chart; the kundli tool checks Mars, the lord of Mesha, and the rest.
Venus — lord of Friday — the day's observance · Friday
Upay
Vedic: Worship Lakshmi on Fridays and give white sweets in charity.
Lal Kitab: Respect your spouse, and feed a cow before you eat.
Readings follow Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra and Saravali (B. Suryanarain Rao's translations) and describe what the tradition reads — they promise nothing. Upay are the traditional practices the Jyotish app lists: free, at home, nothing to buy — and given only for a weak or afflicted graha, never a strong one. Not medical, financial or legal advice.

Aries horoscope today — Mesha rashi (मेष), from where the Moon is now
Where the Moon is today, counted from Mesha — the classical chandra bala reading for Aries — with today's tithi and nakshatra for your location. Calculated when the page loads, not written in the morning.
The short answer
The Aries horoscope for today is read from the transiting Moon's position counted from Mesha, the sidereal sign ruled by Mars. The Moon crosses a sign in about two and a quarter days; which house of Mesha it is in today decides the tone — the 1st, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 10th and 11th are favourable, the 4th, 8th and 12th call for care, the 2nd, 5th and 9th are middling. This page computes that for the current moment at your location, shows when the Moon moves on, and adds today's tithi and nakshatra. Aries is the Sun sign for births from 21 March – 19 April; the Moon sign is what this reading uses.
Four steps to today's reading
Step 1: Find your Moon sign
Your rashi is the sign the Moon was in when you were born. If you know only your Western Sun sign, start there; the kundli tool gives the exact rashi.
Step 2: Allow your location, or pick a city
The Moon's sign is the same everywhere at one instant, but the day's tithi and nakshatra at your sunrise depend on where you are.
Step 3: Open your sign
Each sign's page shows the house the Moon is in from that sign, its reading, and how long the placement lasts.
Step 4: Come back in two days
The Moon moves on; the reading changes when it crosses into the next sign, and the time of that change is shown.
Worth knowing before you read it
Mesha is ruled by Mars
In Jyotish Mesha is a fire sign whose lord is Mars. The lord's own transit is read alongside the Moon's in a full daily reading; the app carries that, this page carries the Moon.
The day starts at sunrise
In the panchang a day runs from one sunrise to the next, so the tithi named for a day is the one running at sunrise, even if it ends by lunch. The page shows when today's tithi ends.
The 8th house Moon
The one placement every text agrees on: the Moon in the eighth from your rashi is the day to postpone journeys, signatures and new beginnings. It lasts about two days and comes round once a month.
Tara bala needs your nakshatra
A fuller daily reading counts today's nakshatra from your birth nakshatra — tara bala — which needs your birth details. The kundli tool gives the birth nakshatra; the app reads both together.
Computed, not looked up — in your browser
Positions come from published astronomy (Meeus and the JPL orbital elements), the ayanamsa is Lahiri, the houses whole-sign, and the same code runs in the Jyotish app. Your birth details and location are used by your own browser and never sent, and no language model reads or writes your chart. Switch the page to another language and only its fixed text goes to our translation service; your result stays in English, in your browser.

Questions people ask
Anything we've missed?
Is this for Aries Sun sign or Mesha Moon sign?
For the Mesha Moon sign, which is what Vedic daily readings use. If you were born with the Sun in Aries (21 March – 19 April) your Moon may well be elsewhere — the kundli tool tells you in a minute. Reading the Sun sign here is a fair approximation until you know.
Is this horoscope by Sun sign or Moon sign?
By Moon sign (rashi), the Vedic way. Where the Moon is today, counted from your own Moon sign, is what changes from one day to the next and what the classical texts call chandra bala. If you know only your Western Sun sign, that is a reasonable start — the two agree for most people born in the second half of a sign's dates — and the kundli tool gives your Moon sign in a minute.
Why does the reading change every two or three days rather than daily?
Because the Moon takes about two and a quarter days to cross a sign. The tithi and nakshatra shown with it change daily, so the day's details do move, but the main placement holds for two or three days at a time. A horoscope that is completely different every morning is not being read from the sky.
Is this written by an AI?
No. The Moon's position is computed for your location and time, and the reading for each of its twelve placements is a fixed text following the classical muhurta table — houses 1, 3, 6, 7, 10 and 11 favourable, 4, 8 and 12 to be careful in, 2, 5 and 9 middling. The same placement always gives the same words.
Does it predict what will happen?
No. It describes the day's placement the way the tradition describes it — what the day tends to feel like, what it suits — and never promises an outcome. Health, money and legal questions are not something a Moon transit can answer, and the page does not pretend otherwise.
